Wanda Oliver

RINGGOLD — Wanda Sue (Murr) Oliver, 77, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 20, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Kenneth Roy Oliver, sharing 56 years together. Wanda was born and raised in Vonore, TN, to Andy and Grace Murr. She was an x-ray technician and a mammographer for many years before retiring from Hutchison Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching her Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Robert Oliver and two brothers, William Boyce Murr and Verlin Ray Murr. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; sister, Charlene Ritchey of Loudon, TN; daughter, DeAnna Oliver Lloyd; son, Jason (Amber) Oliver; grandchildren, Whitney Lloyd, Sierra Lloyd, Garrett Oliver, Caleb Oliver, Jacob Oliver, Katelyn Oliver and Lauren Oliver. Her family would like to give a special thanks to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan, Georgia for all their care, love and support. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, 3239 Battlefield Parkway, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA 30742 with Brother Danny Henson officiating at 2 PM, Saturday, August 24, 2019 on what would have been her 78th birthday. Interment following at Hooker Cemetery in Wildwood, GA.
