Barney Oliver

Barney Michael Oliver 61, passed away on Jan. 23, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Chattanooga on Aug. 8, 1957, to Joseph and Evelyn (Phillips) Oliver. He joined the Navy right out of high school and later settled in California where he married and started a family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a driver for most of his life and most recently worked at PSC Metals in Chattanooga. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 22 years, Joan Oliver; children Ronnie Oliver, Brianne Bertini, Alex Bertini, and Jesse Oliver; grandchildren Samantha, Ava, Hannah, and Mason; also sisters Deborah Harris and Patricia (Ray) Case, and brother Joseph Oliver. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at 1 p.m. Eastern time at Caroline Chapel, 466 Caroline Chapel Rd. Whitwell, Tenn. 37397.
