Charles Forester
Charles M. "Sonny" Forester, 78, of East Ridge received his
angel wings on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019. Today, he is rejoicing with his Savior and being a part of the Heavenly
choir either playing or directing. Charles' life was filled
with music and he served area churches as either organist,
pianist or choir director from age 14 until his retirement
in 2015. In addition to his church work, he was a music teacher and band director at Lookout Valley High School for 14 years. He retired from teaching Elementary music at Ganns Middle Valley Elementary School. In his retirement he spent his time going to all the area nursing homes, assisted living and senior adult groups and entertaining
with his music and jokes. He had a great musical talent and
loved to share it with everybody. He had a hug and a smile
for everyone. He loved people and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Linda
Scoggins Forester; sister, Brenda (Roy) McCrary; nephew,
Kent (Carla) McCrary; niece and nephew; Kailey and Cole
McCrary.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral
home chapel with Rev. Jim Hutto and Rev. Patrick Cooper
officiating. Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
