John Kaiser

John Henry Kaiser Jr. went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018. John was a graduate of the City High School Class of 1947. He worked for NCR Corporation for 43 years. He was past president of the following organizations: Harrison Ruritan Club, The Fellowship Class of Christ United Methodist Church, Trinity Woodmore Methodist Church Sunday School Class and Dalewood Junior High Booster’s Club. John was an active supporter of local sports and spent many hours at Brainerd Golf Club and the ball fields of Brainerd High School, Dalewood Junior High and Cumberland Youth Foundation. John was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, JoAnn McGaughey Kaiser; his parents, Lottie Elizabeth Pettus Kaiser and John Kaiser, Sr. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Estelle Frazier, Dorothy Horner, Gretchen Wells and Robin Morris. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Martha Cornwell Dyer Kaiser, children, Beverly Kaiser Bendall (Greg), John Henry Kaiser, III, step - children, Kenny Dyer (Linda), Doug Dyer (Alison) and Steven Dyer and sister Henrietta Hill. His grandchildren are Brooke Bendall Burgess (Matthew) and Brandi Bendall, Dr. K.C. Dyer (Janice) and Dr. Katie Dyer. Great grandchildren are Sawyer, Ben Fischer and Sloane Burgess, Brooke and Cooper Dyer, along with numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Don Allison officiating. The family will receive guests from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or Christ United Methodist Church.
