Thomas Adam Privett

On Jan. 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, the world lost and heaven gained a special angel Thomas Adam Privett. He was an incredible son and friend who was loved by all that knew him. A lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, Adam never met a stranger, he loved life. Always smiling, he was probably best known for his quick wit and comical demeanor. He enjoyed working with his hands, loved building old cars, especially MOPARS, singing and playing music with his dad, but most of all was spending time with his family and friends. Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adam G. Millsaps, Thomas Henry and Della Mae Privett. As an only child, Adam is survived by his loving parents to forever cherish his memory Bobby and Darlene Privett; grandmother, Juanita Millsaps; special dear cousins who he considered his brother and sisters, Michael Scott, Darlene Viall, Anji Arnold and Stacie Lyle; along with two special aunts whom he loved dearly, Catherine (Mirt) Clemons and Terri Scott; many aunts, uncles, with a multitude of cousins. Pallbearers include Brian Blaylock, Roger Clemons, Jimmy Dotson, Stacy Grant, Danny Privett, David Privett, Michael Scott and Jimmy Smith. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Williamsons and Sons Funeral Home Saturday, Jan. 5, in the funeral home chapel with uncles Lloyd Privett and Bishop Clayton Privett officiating. Burial will follow by entombment at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the St. Jude’s or Shriners Hospitals. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. with funeral to follow. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
