Trula Agee

Trula Jestine Agee, 93, of Hixson Tenn., was reunited with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 2, 2019. Trula was born in Knoxville and moved to Chattanooga where she married Will Allen Agee and the couple began a family on their Signal Mtn. farm. She moved to Hixson where she was a devout member of Ely Rd. Church of God for nearly 50 years serving faithfully in many roles. Trula enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday school, vacation bible school, singing in the choir and praising her Savior. Surrounded by loved ones: some of her last words spoken were “God spoke to me and He said, He has His hands on me.” She was preceded in death by her parents, John Johnson and Myrtle Sweat Johnson and siblings; her late husband, Will Allen Agee; daughter, Wanda Bryson; grandson, Rick Bryson; son-in-law, Joe Burcham. Trula is survived by her children; daughter, Brenda Agee Burcham; two sons, Fred Agee (Susan) and Ronnie Agee Sr. (Debbie) and son in law, Bob Bryson; grandchildren, Tom Couch Jr., Christy Couch–Lewis, Ron Agee Jr., Angelia Agee- Barber and Aleasha Agee; Great-Grandchildren, Drew Bryson, Morgan Lewis, Cristian Lewis, Tristan Crowe and Shianne Crowe; Great-great-grandchild, Cadence Bryson; and many other beloved relatives and dear friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Tom Shoemate officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
