Dot Edwards

LAFAYETTE — Dorothy “Dot” Ann Edwards, 81, of LaFayette passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019. She was a business partner with the late Norma Russell at The Bouquet Shop for 20 years. She loved spending time outside in nature, gardening, flowers, and always made sure the outdoor birds were well fed. Dot’s love for life and people would light up a room and brighten the life of those around her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Evie Whaley; brother, Darrell Whaley; and sister, Nina Whaley Travillian. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Allan Edwards of LaFayette; daughter, Andrea Herr of Knoxville; son, Chuck Edwards of LaFayette; sisters, Betty Ruth Linsdey, Reba Colbert, and Joyce (Lowell) Cantrell all of LaFayette; grandchild, Ian (Jordin) Herr; great grandchild, Sawyer Herr; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with visitation prior to the service starting at 2 p.m. Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Chattanooga Community Kitchen P.O.
