Billy Joe Kilgore

Billy Joe Kilgore, 67, of Harrison, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, surrounded by his daughter and grandchildren after a short battle with cancer. Billy worked in the coal mines for many years. He loved many things especially spending time with his family and grandchildren. Billy Joe was preceded in death by his second wife, Nancy Kilgore; his parents, Jess and Gennie (Smith) Kilgore; brothers, Johnny, Jerry, Gary, and Wesley Kilgore. Those left to cherish his memories are his only daughter, Kristy (Tim) Frizzell; grandchildren, Katie (Chris) Kilgore, Joseph Masters; great-grandchildren, Emalyn Kilgore and Aiden Frizzell; sister, Gearldine Pyburn; Nancy’s daughter, Tonya Sadler. Family will receive friends 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, in the funeral home chapel.
