Dorothy Ridge

GEORGETOWN — Dorothy Marie Wilson Ridge, 82, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, in a local health care facility. She was a member of Hopewell Church of God. She enjoyed spending her time writing poems, reading, and attending church. Fall was her favorite season of the year. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lloyd Ridge; parents, W. C. Wilson and Zella Nealy Wilson. She is survived by five children, Steve Ridge and wife Cindy, of Cleveland, Cheryl Bryant and husband Larry, of Georgetown, Mike Ridge and wife Margaret, of Georgetown, David Ridge, and Christy Ratcliff and husband James, of Chattanooga; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Graham; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother George Warren. Interment will follow in Johnston Cemetery.
