Rex Hyer

Rex Hyer, 67, passed away on Jan. 9, 2019. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, a dedicated and talented musician, and a loving husband who loved his family dearly. Rex loved life and music, and was so much more than words can describe. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 21 wonderful years, Janie Rae Hyer; stepchildren, Tim Emery and Stacy Emery; grandchildren, Timothy Emery, Bryan Emery, Christopher Emery, Kacie Rae Lynn Sanders, Jessica Sanders, William Land, Jr., and Emily Emery; as well as several great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with dedicated friend Ralph Pell presiding. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
