James Dodd

James Edward “Jimmy” Dodd, Jr., 62, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019. Jimmy was born on Jan. 23, 1956, in Hixson and was employed by Northwest Utility District for many years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Vance; father, James Dodd, Sr and brothers, Tim Dodd and Teddy Dodd. Survivors are his wife of 14 years, Christine; children, Clifton (Lori) Dodd, Jamie (Earl) Owens and Alan (Jaz) Dodd; sister, Nancy Sides; father-in-law, William Higgins; mother-in-law, Wanda Higgins; brother-in-law, Shane Higgins; grandchildren, Braden, Mikaylah, Jordan, Luke, Mariah and Kason along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Services will be on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with David Collett officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park with his coworkers at Northwest Utility District and Wayne Henderson serving as pallbearers.
