Dale Whitehead

ADAIRSVILLE — Dale Woodrow Whitehead, 89, of Adairsville, Ga., passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. He was a resident of Chulio Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rome. Mr. Whitehead was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church, and was retired from Tulake Beverages of Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Bunyon and Sara Lela Caylor Whitehead; brothers, Charles, Glen, and Harold Whitehead: Sisters June Whitehead Wood and Mary Illa Whitehead Leamon. He is survived by his widow, Sara Frances Smith Whitehead; two sons, Allan Whitehead of Adairsville, Ga., and Terrell Whitehead of Chattanooga; brother, N.B. Whitehead of Ten Mile, Tenn.; grandchildren, Diana Allison (Angie) Whitehead, Kimberly (Joe) Whitehead Janssen, and Scott Allan Whitehead; and eight great-grandchildren. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
