Chuck White

Charles “Chuck” L. White Jr., 58, passed away Jan. 21, 2019, in a local hospital. He was born in Memphis, Tenn., and has resided in Flintstone, Ga. over the last 13 years to be near his mother, Alice Daniel. He was greatly loved by his family and admired for his strong fortitude and independence despite a crippling injury over 30 years ago. Chuck was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charles F. and Martha Jane White; maternal grandparents, Lucille Mallett and Theodore Cleveland Keck. He is survived by his parents, Charles L. White Sr. (Peggy) and Alice M. Daniel (John); two sisters, Kim Lingerfelt (Alan) and Kathy Glasser (Steven). Chuck's surviving children include: Amy White, Katherine (White) Dohrman, John White, and Lisa (White) Sutton. Additional surviving family include grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel with the Rev. James Overton officiating. Burial will follow the funeral services at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. The White family would like to extend our gratitude to all staff at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga for their attentiveness and loving care.
