Don Ray

FORT OGLETHORPE — Don A. Ray, 76, went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 5, 2019. Don was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, Tenn., and North Georgia area. He was a member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church and attended Parkway Baptist Church. Don was the owner of Triangle Motors on Rossville Blvd. for many years. He was a graduate of Gordon Lee High School, class of 1962. Don is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Regina Jennings Newman Ray; sons, David (Collessa) Ray of Chickamauga, Ga., Daniel (Brooke) Ray of Ringgold, Ga., and Kevin (Melanie Hassel) Newman of Richmond, Calif.; daughter, Melissa (Ian McCuskey) Newman of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Linda Ray Weaver of Ringgold, Ga.; grandchildren, Kerrighan Ray, Carter Ray, Reagan Ray, Hazel McCuskey, Nephew Andy (Celeste) Weaver and Niece Jennifer Weaver of Ringgold, Ga. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Rev. Bill Gardner officiating. Pall bearers will be Todd Goldsmith, Blue Smith, Andy Weaver, Tim Alexander, Jimmy Slatton, and Ashley Stoker.
