James Ake
NEW HOPE — James Price Ake, 69, passed
away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a member of The Local 454 Boilermakers and preceded in death by his parents,
Luther “Ed” Ake and Annie Bell Mount; sister, Francis Ann Ake.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Diane Ake of New Hope; stepfather, Bradley Mount, Jr. of Kimball; children, Michael (Beth) Ake, of Chattanooga, Kelley (John) Burroughs, of Riceville, Clinton Hobbs, Janie (Jackie) Daniel, both of
Dunlap; brothers, Edward Ake, of South Pittsburg, Dennis Mount, of Stevenson,
Carl Mount, of Whitwell, Jeffery Mount, of Kimball; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Family will receive friends noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019. Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019, in the funeral home chapel with
Rev. Michael Ake and Rev. Rodney McGill. Interment to follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery in Alabama.
