Grant Spuhler

SOUTH PITTSBURG — Grant Spuhler Sr., 92, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2019. Grant was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, and loved golf, working outdoors, and missionary work. Grant was a two time return missionary, serving in Palmyra, NY, and Salt Lake City, UT. The son of the late John Emil and Frieda Kohler Spuhler, Grant was also preceded in death by his siblings; Leonard Spuhler, Leona Scrensen, Ruth Ruhland, and Kenneth Spuhler, his first wife, Robbie D. Spuhler, and sons; David and Charles Spuhler. Grant leaves his wife, June; siblings, John and Lynn Spuhler; children, Grant Spuhler, Jr. and Patricia Duarte; stepchildren, Angie Graham, Tina Wade-Reece, Christy Reed and Eddie Billingsley; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. CST from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Jasper Branch. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, from 5 until 7 p.m. CST at the Church. Burial will follow in Griffith Creek Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
