Glendolyn Wild

Glendolyn “Donnie” Wild, 90, of East Ridge, passed away on March 13, 2019. She was born Aug. 13, 1928, to the late, Russell M. and Margaret Fryar. She graduated from City High School in 1946. Donnie as she was known as was an accomplished seamstress and monogrammer. She worked for numerous organizations in and around the surrounding area. Donnie was an active member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the J. Fred Johnson Sunday School class. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Post 95. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth S. Wild, Sr.; her parents; a daughter, Helen C. Wild; and her sister, Martha Sertel. Left behind to cherish Donnie’s memory are her sons, Kenneth S. (Kim) Wild, Jr., and Tony Wild; grandchildren, Lauren (Tucker) Bruno, Justin Wild (Alyssa), Daniel Wild (Jess), Jennifer Wild and Emily Wild; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jacob Wild, and Natalie Bruno; brother, Russell M. Fryar, Jr.; sister, Hazel Waters; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Life Care Center of Red Bank for their excellent loving care for Mrs. Wild during her stay there. A Celebration of Donnie’s Life will be held at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 18, 2019, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Courtney Krueger officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and again on Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 S. Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
