Lee Gass

ROSSVILLE — Lee Roy Gass, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, surrounded by his loving family and friends at his home. Born June 23, 1938, in DeKalb County, Ala., to the late Joe and Irene Gass, he had been a truck driver for 42 years. Lee was a Past Master Mason at Tompkins Lodge #466 F&AM and a member of Clifton Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Doris Scudgins Gass; daughters, Teena (Duane) Broom and Vicki (Ron) Bell; siblings, Fay (Gary) Pinkard, Jim (Diane) Gass, Lou Edith Gass, Fred and Becky Scudgins; grandchildren, Brandon (Marlowe) Bell, Rachael (John) Mason, Becca (Lane) Philips, Jordan Eblen and Micah (Noelle) Barbee; great-grandchildren, Chase Dalrymple, Peyton Eblen, Arwen Mason, Jed Mason; step-grandchildren, Matthew Broom, Dara (Louis) Piedra; great-step grandchildren, Isaac Piedra, Kia Piedra, Shane Short, Todd Cummings; several nieces and nephews also survive. A special thanks to North Georgia Home and Health and their SPECIAL nurses, Karen Almond and Shelley Frady, John and Christy Carrol-Southerland who loved and cared for Lee and all of us. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Eric Reiger officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
