Carolyn Winters

Carolyn Hineman Winters, 83, entered into Heaven’s gates peacefully on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted member of Oak Street Baptist Church and the Women’s Bible Class. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved her grandkids more than anything. Carolyn was loved by so many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Martha Hineman; sisters, Faye, Jewell and Janice; brother, Larry; grandchildren Ava and Alexandria Winters and son-in-law, Alan Wilson. Survivors are her husband of 59 plus years, Howard Winters; children, Howie Winters (Cathy), Rhonda Wilson, Johnny Winters (Stephanie) and Darrell Winters (April); grandchildren, Christian, Michael (Cortni), Candace (Ryan), Taylor (Cody), Casie, Ashlyn, Annabelle, Natalie; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Asa; siblngs, Mona (Brian) Charlesworth, Louise (Billy Don) Roberts, Stanley (Sandra) Hineman, David (Pat) Hineman, Tommy (Darlene) Hineman and Rhonda Sharp; sister-in-law, Bobbie Hatfield and dear friends, Stanley and Evelyn Lewis. Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Carolyn will lie-in-state on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church followed by a service at 2 p.m. at the church with her son, Rev. Darrell Winters, Rev. Joe Caldwell and Rev. Don Lasley officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
