
RINGGOLD Billy E. Johnson, 67, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.He was born in Flat Rock, Ala., to the late Wallace and Pauline Johnson, but had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life. He was a member of Indian Springs Church of God and was a Truck Driver for over 40 years. He was an avid Alabama Football fan, who genuinely enjoyed life, loved Bluegrass music, driving thru the mountains and had a passion for wanting to learn to play the Banjo.He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Madeleine Johnson and several brothers.Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Johnson, of Ringgold; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy E. Johnson Jr. and Dudley Dale and (Darlene) Thompson, of Chickamauga, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Dimple and (Larry) Chapman, of Rossville; sister, Ora Lee Ayers, of Rossville; four grandchildren, Tonia Johns, Tamara Lambert and Olivia and Rebekah Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Hope and Kassidy Davis and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Max Kessler officiating.Entombment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.The family will begin receiving friends after 2 p.m. today and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.Online guest book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
