Joann "Jody" Clark Smith, 62, of Signal Mountain, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, after a short illness.She was employed with the Hamilton County School system.She was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Josephine Clark; and sister, Margaret Spangler.She leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Marshall Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Tiffany Laymon Smith; grandchildren, Lexi and J.D. Laymon; two sisters, two brothers; and several nieces and nephews. She also left behind her very special pets, Bryant, Princess and her bird.
