CARTERSVILLE Daryll Kenneth Speegle, 57, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010.He was an avid professional golfer who loved not only playing golf, but also teaching the love of golf.He was a loving husband of 22 years to his wife, Leta Henderson Speegle, of Cartersville. Additional survivors include brother. Don Speegle, of Covington, La.; two sisters, Dara Speegle of Ringgold, and Donna (Rick) Hazelwood of LaFayette, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth "Speedy" Speegle and Betty Kilgore Speegle, of Monteagle, Tenn.A memorial service will be 2 p.m. (CDT) Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, in the funeral home chapel.The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. (CDT) until the time of service. Also a memorial service will be at 9 a.m. (EDT) followed immediately by a brunch at 11 a.m. (EDT ), Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at Pinetree Country Club located at 3400 McCollum Parkway N.W., Kennesaw, Ga.In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Darylls memory to the Speedy and Betty Speegle Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Andrews Sewanee School, 290 Quintard Road, Sewanee, TN 37375-3000.Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Ave., Monteagle, Tenn., 931-924-2381.
