CROSSVILLE Joene Balf, 74, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, in Crossville. A native of Spencer, Tenn., she has been a resident of the Chattanooga area most of her life before moving to Crossville seven years ago and attended the Taylors Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Balf, a W.W.II Veteran; two daughters, Donna Vandagriff (Mike) Wilson, Belvedere, S.C. and Gloria Vandagriff Harris, Rossville, Ga.; son, Timothy (Cathy) Vandagriff, Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Lina Kunz, Mansfield, Ohio; brother, Frank Haston, Chattanooga; adoring nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in National Cemetery.
