LaFAYETTE Hershel Lee Pell, 81, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at home surrounded by his family.He was the eldest son of Levi and Pamelia Pell.Married to Christine (Decker) Pell (deceased) for 48 years and they had five children, Jerry Pell, Linda Sue Wright, Brenda Cymek, Donald Pell (deceased), and Michael Pell.Married to Edna (Broadrick) Pell for 14 years and loved by her five children, Tena Battles, Tony Parton, Debora Blaylock, Kimberly Parton, and Felicia Brown.He had 12 siblings, Edith Zentz, Yvonne Wibble (deceased), Jean Short, Donna Mays, Elmer Pell, Dallas Pell, Wayne Pell, Delain Pell, Wendell Pell, Lucille Waycasey (deceased), Lillian Gerwick and Holbert Pell. He has 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild plus numerous nieces and nephews.Formally performed in a band with his brothers know as "The Pell Brothers".His greatest joy was learning the truth about Jehovahs Kingdom and sharing that good news with others. He was baptised as one of Jehovahs Witnesses on Mar. 4, 2001.He was a devoted husband and father and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed.Visitation will be at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in LaFayette from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 547 Roadrunner Boulevard, LaFayette, with Minister David Dixon officiating.
