SPRING CITY James B. "Rabbit" Jolley, 87, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Rhea Medical Center.A lifetime resident of Spring City, he was the son of the late Ralph B. and Margaret Janow Jolley.Rabbit was a veteran paratrooper of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.Rabbit was a retired electrician and worked for TVA at Kingston and Watts Bar for 38 years.He was active in the Rhea Rural Fair and served as president.Survivors include his wife, Cleo Treadway Jolley, of Spring City; his son, Jimmy (Beverly) Jolley, of Knoxville; brother, Earl (Edith) Jolley, of Spring City; and sister, Sue Moffett, of Spring City.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with the Rev. James Edward Cagle officiating.Interment with military honors will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.Vaughn Funeral Home, Spring City is in charge of arrangements.
