Dr. Dr. Dorothy McCrary-Williams, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 in a local hospital.She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta, member of the C.D.C. and a professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Alberta McCrary; grandparents, A.B. and Agnes Anderson; and brother, Phillip McCrary. Survivors: daughter, Chanda Williams of Chattanooga; brother, James McCrary; sisters, Novella Anderson, Patricia Miller and Shirley Rice all of Greenville, S.C.; aunt, Johnnie Joiner of Cleveland, OH; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation: Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral: Saturday at 12 noon in the chapel of Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, Inc., 1011 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605. Burial: Greenville Memorial Gardens, Greenville, SC.
