FORT OGLETHORPE Johnnie Theona Condra, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family after a short illness.She was a native of Whitwell, TN, had lived in Chattanooga and Signal Mountain prior to moving to Ft. Oglethorpe in 2006. Mrs. Condra owned and operated Johnnie's Beauty Shop in Chattanooga and Signal Mountain for 40 years, retiring in 2004. She was of the Baptist Faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, John L. and Janievee Gravitt.Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Hoyt Condra, Sr.; four children, Gail Condra of Ft. Oglethorpe, Larry Condra of Gainesville, Fla., Lancle (Shirley) Condra of Austin, TX, and Hoyt (Marilyn) Condra, Jr. of Spring Hill, Tenn.; brother, James Edward Gravitt of Scottsboro, Ala.; sisters, Lee Correll of Rossville, Nina Payne of Ooltewah, and Thora May Ware of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren, Adam, Joshua, Bethany, Brian, Michael, Andrew, and Daniel Condra; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Heinsohn, At Peace Hospice, Darlene Johansen, and Mashelle Hill for their care during this time.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House at 200 Central Ave Chattanooga, TN 37403.Graveside services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Lawrence Clark officiating.Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
