
Mrs. Ruby Marie Bass Hall, 78, of Chattanooga went home to be with her husband, Fred and her Lord on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.Mrs. Hall was born on September 15, 1931 in Langston, Ala. to the late Fraley and Lizzie Brown Bass, was raised in Pisgah, Ala., where she married Fred Casey Hall on February 16, 1946, and was a resident of Whitwell, Tenn. for 17 years before moving to Chattanooga two years ago.She retired in 1984 as a Nurse's Aide at the Hamilton County Nursing Home with 16 years of service. She was of the Pentecostal Faith where she attended the Powell's Crossroad Church of God.She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clendon, Martin, and Henry Bass; sister, Bertie May Bass; and great grandson, James Bentley Brown.Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Rayburn and Mary Hall of East Ridge, Royce and Glenda Hall of Chattanooga, Ronnie Hall and special friend, Kim of Rossville, and Ted and Debbie Hall of Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Lebron Farriss of Whitwell, and Carolyn and Jimmy Howard of Rossville; sisters, Nancy Hargiss of Ft. Payne, Ala. and Grace Lee of East Ridge; grandsons, Michael Howard, Jamie Parris, Josh Farriss, Keith Farriss, Terry Farriss, Shawn Hall, Teddy Hall, and Rodney Lough; granddaughters, Dianne Buckles, Lisa Presnell, Nikki Mason, Terri Morrow, Theresa Messer, and Catina Underwood; several great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jim Troyer officiating.Interment will be held Monday, September 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends today from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
