
Holly A. Hixon, 44, of Ooltewah, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at a local health care facility.She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where she was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church, the Windstone Golf Club, the Classic Bowling League, and had been a Red Cross Volunteer at Parkridge Hospital. She was a wonderful loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Dewey Miners; and brother, Shawn Logsdon.Survivors include her husband, Wayne Hixon, of Ooltewah; daughter, Angel Groce, of Rossville; two stepchildren, Blaze Hixon, of Chattanooga and Brooke (Jonathan) Pribble, of N. Augusta, S.C.; five sisters, Judy (David) Welch, of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Harriet (Jerry) Clark, of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Sally (Larry) Keaton of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Kim (Don) Guess, of Madison, Ga., and Shelly (David) Cross of Chickamauga, Ga.; two brothers, John (Connie) Logsdon of Rossville and Richard Logsdon, of Quantico, Va.; three grandchildren, Aaron Millsaps, Nick Groce, and Gage Groce; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating.Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
