Betty Dye


CHICKAMAUGA Betty Jean Fulmer Dye age 81, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. She was born in Summerville, Ga. to the late George Otis and Lillie Gertrude Wilson Fulmer. She had been a lifelong resident of Chickamauga. She was a member of Chickamauga Church of Christ. She had worked at several stores in the area, such as Shop-Rite, Piggly Wiggly, Mac's Grocery, Imperial Cup, Hills Department Store and Drew's Drug Store. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Clinton Dye; brother, Louis Fulmer; sisters, Janie Little, Mary Evelyn Bailey, Shirley Osby; son-in-law, Greg Sharp; grandson, Alan Dye and great-grandson, Jackson Dye. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Sharp, of Flintstone, Beverly and Jim Ussery, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Lynn Dye, Don and Frances Dye, both of Chickamauga; grandchildren, Anthony and Kristy Dye, Addan and Crystal Dye, Beth Dye Brown, Billy and Melody Dye, Jane Edwards, Jason and Ashley Madaris; great-grandchildren, Clay Dye, Maggie Dye, Victoria Dye, Dylan Dye, Baylee Brown, Chandler Brown, Jacob Dye; sister, Reba Kirby; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6- 9 p.m.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 graveside at LaFayette Memory Gardens with Minister Robert Foster officiating.
