William Walton Muse, 65, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, at his residence.He was a United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Muse and mother, Matilda Muse; sister, Dorothy M. Strickland; and brother, Delano Muse.Survivors include his sister, Faye Muse Ware, of Chattanooga; nephews, Joey (Lisa) Strickland, John (Karen) Goodwin, David (Monique) Strickland, Floyd Goodwin, DeWayne Muse and Langston Muse; niece, Telicia (C.J.) Howell; stepmother, Jessie Muse; stepsisters, Sandra Brown and Betty Ann White; stepbrother, Frederick Bolton; devoted friends, James Woods and Michael Smith; devoted family friend, Walter Lewis, of Huntsville, Ala.; a host of cousins and other relatives.The body will lie-in-state after 1 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home.Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel.Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
