Janey Rodgers, 71, of Hixson, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012.She was born in Sheffield, Ala., to Beatrice and Billy Barnes.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Barnes; and one grandson.She is survived by her son, Tim Davis; daughter, Cheryl Smartt; brother, Bill (Darlene) Barnes; and sister, Doris (Glenn) Brazelton; grandson, Christopher Cordell; granddaughter, Crystal Smartt; great-granddaughter, Stephanie Cordell; three special aunts, Shirley Bozeman, Ramona Ford and Jewell Holland; nephews, nieces and several cousins.There will be no visitation.A private memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
