Deacon Cornelius Ridley, 94, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 in a local Nursing Home.He was a retiree from Electric Power Board and a member of Greater Beualah Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his health failed. He was the treasurer of Good Neighbors Ins.He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Betty Ridley, of Chattanooga; and son, Robert (Bertha) Ridley; two step daughters; three step-sons; one sister, Everlina R. Jackson, of Atlanta, Ga.; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at noon in the Chapel, with Pastor Gibson Sims officiating.Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.The body can be viewed today at the chapel from noon until 7 p.m.Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave.
