Opaline Owen Fitts, 94, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.Opaline was born in Pickens County, Ga., and has been a resident of Chattanooga for the past 45 years. She was a member of Lake Hills Church of Christ. Opaline was a regular supporter of Christian mission works and childrens homes.She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Scott K. Fitts, her parents and two sisters.Opaline is survived by her daughter, Alice and her husband, Jon Browning, of New Providence, N.J.; three nieces, one nephew and several cousins.The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:30 a.m. today at the North Chapel.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at the North Chapel with Ministers Shane Robinson and Johnny Owens officiating.Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
