RINGGOLD Phillip Jeffery McKay, 59, died on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was an avid golfer, coin collector and fisherman. Mr. McKay enjoyed county music and also enjoyed the Mountain Opry.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Jesse McKay; and wife, Sherry McKay.Survivors are daughter, Joanie McKay, Ringgold; stepsons, David Henry Jr., Dalton, Ga., Ronnie Henry, Ringgold; brothers, Robert McKay, Jesse Lee McKay, both of Rossville, Stanley McKay, Fort Oglethorpe; sisters, Sylvia Riddle and Kathy Mithcell, both of Ringgold; grandchildren, Nathan Easterlin and Amber Leigh Easterlin, both of Tunnel Hill, Ga.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Henry Hampton officiating.
