Betty Suzanne Lemons, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Twice married and widowed, she was the wife of the late James E. Lemons, Sr., and the late 1st Lt. Robert T. White and parents, Major Thomas S. Dobbs and Betty.She is survived by her children Polly Jennings and husband Andy, Dee Hutzell and husband Russ, Marie Lawrence-Branum and husband Bruce, James E. Lemons, Jr. and wife Susan; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother Thomas F. Dobbs, Jr.; sister Tommie Elaine Jordan; an uncle, niece, nephew, and cousins. Suzanne retired from the State of Tennessee after 30 years of service. She has been a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church since 1961. In lieu of flowers, Suzanne requested that donations be made to the St. Luke United Methodist Church general fund. The funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2:30 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 3210 Social Circle, Chattanooga followed by a private graveside service.
