RINGGOLD James Eblen Dean, 77, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2012.A native of Fort Monroe, Va., he has lived in the Ringgold area for the past 45 years. James was a former employee of R.J. Young, was a member of the Quitman Masonic Lodge #106, a member of the VFW and was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carrene Hatfield Dean; son, Jerry Dean; and parents, Elben James and Julia Kathryn Williams Dean.He is survived by his wife, Joye York Dean, of Ringgold; two sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Kim Dean, of Ringgold, and Paul "P.J." Dean of Ringgold; three stepdaughters, Decotta (William) Brooks, of McDonald, Tenn., Stephanie (Gene) Lesley, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Simone (Tim) Hobbs, of Ringgold; and six grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow at Catoosa Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today. and Thursday until funeral time at the funeral home.An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
