Edward Leon "Tan" Woodgett, 59, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at a local hospital.He was preceded in death by his father and sister.Survivors include his mother, Bervina W. Philpott; daughters, Shawnett Collins and Renita Harmon; grandson, Antonio Harmon; three brothers and five sisters, Stanley (Barbara), Melvin J., Christopher J. Woodgett, all of Chattanooga, Elvira W. Foster, Joan (Stanley) Butts, Angela Lindsey, Gwen Thomas, Sandra (Joe) Battle; nine nephews; eight nieces; 12 great-nephews; 13 great-nieces; very dear friend, Angela Davis.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in the chapel with Pastor Calvin B.
