Shirley Elizabeth Montgomery, 86, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012.Mrs. Montgomery was born in Kilbourne, Ill. She was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Dale Montgomery and daughter, Donna Jane Montgomery.Surviving are her sons, Barry (Lynda) Montgomery, of Stockbridge, Ga., Scott (Sharon) Montgomery, of Chattanooga and Tim Montgomery, of Chattanooga; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and brother, Sanford Showalter.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home.Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the funeral home with Dr. Jeremy Roberts officiating.Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to WDYN, 1815 Union Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist.
