BRYANT, Ala. Millie Beatrice Winters Gilliam ended her journey on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012. She was a life-long resident of Bryant, retired seamstress from the H.D. Lee Company and a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church until her health became compromised.Those preceding her in death include her husband, Bill; son Bobby; and infant daughter Ruby Ann Gilliam; great grandson Samuel Rafe Whited; parents, Frank and Plona Adkins Winters; brothers, Raymond, Arlin and Lidge Winters; and sister, Hazel Tyndall.She is survived by her children, Billy (Kathy) Gilliam and Betty (Charles) Gilliam Edmonds; sisters and brother-in-laws, Grace Langley, Ruby (Murphy) Ledbetter and William Tyndall, grandchildren, Anthony, Tommy, Jeremy, and Stacy Gilliam, Kim Gilliam Gamble, Katelin Whited and Misty Wooten; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Tristan, Dalton, Brooke and Bodie Gilliam, Lane and Ally Gamble, Savannah, Austin and Bailey Guffey and Logan Wooten, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a wonderful lady, a loving Mom and Grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her life on earth is over and she is resting in the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loved ones who have gone before her.Funeral Services will be at 5 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Edmonds and Rev. Wayne Winters officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
