Thomas Cordell Jenkins, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at his residence.Tom was a graduate of Kirkman Technical School and Chattanooga State and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had a tremendous passion for photography and enjoyed fishing. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Cordell Jenkins.Survivors include his daughter, Heather (Morgan) Becker; sons, Jeremy and Justin Jenkins, all of Chattanooga; brother, James (Sarah) Jenkins, of Grimsley, Tenn.; sisters, Sandra Curtis, of Flintstone and Marsha Simmons, of Clarkrange, Tenn.; nieces, Elaine Moore, of Crossville, Tenn., Kimberly (Scott) Dagg, of Mobile, Ala., and Cheryl (Russell) Tayse, of Grimsley, Tenn.; several other relatives who loved him dearly.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Chad Poe officiating.Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.To share condolences, visit www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
