CHICKAMAUGA Charles Jones Tabor, 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012.He was born in Crossville, Tenn., to the late, Monroe and Nellie Tabor. Charles moved to the North Georgia Area in 1958 and was of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 1st Class during the Korean War and was formerly employed by the Chickamauga Telephone Co.Charles was also preceded in death by his sister, Helen Hatfield; and his brother, Clarence Tabor.He is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Joan Tabor; daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Steve Daniel, of Chickamauga and Angela Davis, of Flintstone; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Shauna Tabor, of Chickamauga; sisters, Christine Bond and Linda White, both of Crossville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Dan Mouw officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on Monday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Chickamauga Chapel.
