Margaret Irene Talley, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, in a local hospital.She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and longtime member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.Margaret was a Red Cross volunteer at Erlanger Hospital for over 40 years. She was the oldest of nine children.She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Clara Flippo; and two brothers, Buddy and Billy Flippo; and one sister, Wanda Weakley.Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jimmy Talley; two daughters Jean (Randy) Peavy. of Seminole, Fla. and Donna (Bryan) Baxter, of San Antonio Texas; five sisters, Louise Lindsey, Gwen Harrell, Brenda Brown, Mildred Rossman and Diane Campbell; four grandchildren, Allen (Cindy) Sharp, Louis (Michelle) Sharp, Summer Peavy and Jason Baxter; four great-grandchildren, Colby, Katlyn, Ashlyn and Peyton Sharp; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with Dallas Beck officiating.Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will Receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.You may visit our guestbook at www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com.Arrangements by the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, 3913 Webb Road, 622-3171.
