Billy Joe Hatfield, 87, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. A World War II Veteran awarded The Purple Heart and a union glazier before retirement. An active sportsman and member of the Walden's Ridge Sportsman's Club of Signal Mountain, Bill enjoyed his extended family and camping and fishing upon the lake.Bill was born and raised in Pikeville, Tenn. He lived many years on Signal Mountain before his final residence at NHC HealthCare, Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his parents Hobart Joseph and Easter Jane Hatfield; sisters, Rita Campbell, Patsy Shelton, Margarette Gudel, Burmah Hatfield; and brothers, Radius and J .W. Hatfield.Survivors include Daughter Joe Ann Barrett, of Redmond, Wash.; three sisters, Betty, Mary Ann and Doris, and many nieces and nephews.Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with Rev.
