Felix E. "Duke" Tiano, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at his home with his family by his side.Born in Clarksburg, W.Va., in 1922, he was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II. After returning from the war, he married his childhood sweetheart and together they found their way to the Chattanooga area. Felix owned and operated a successful construction business for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer and a charter member at Valleybrook Golf and Country Club. He was also a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Kathryn Tiano; brother, Albert Tiano and a sister, Marie Mirandi.Felix is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Tiano; two sons, Joseph A. Tiano and wife, Beverly, Felix S. Tiano and wife, Kimberly (Jacob, and Kennedy Fravel); three brothers, John, William and Joseph Tiano; one sister, Mary Paletta, all of Clarksburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsy, Felix Adam and Alexandra Tiano, all of Chattanooga and Felix Jackson Tiano, of Panama City, Fla.Services for Felix will be on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon followed by a funeral mass and reception in the Parish Life Center.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Felix's name be made to: Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O.
