Samella Kilgore, departed her earthly home on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Samella was born in 1922 in Rogersville, Ala., to the late Katherine Simmons.She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Simmons; and her husband, Clark W. Gilmore.Samella received Jesus Christ at an early age. She retired from Erlanger Hospital where she worked in the Environmental Service Department.She leaves to cherish her loving memories Mary Jane Fuqua, Lula Stamper, Almetta Finnell, Charles Fuqua, all of Chattanooga; and James (Michelle) Ware, of Atlanta; and a host of other relatives and friends.Family hour, Monday July 16 from noon to 1 p.m. at Trammell Chapel.Graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
