LaFAYETTE Rufus Vinson, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 17 in a local health care center. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and retired from Mueller Corporation.Survivors are, his wife Carolyn Jackson Vinson, of LaFayette, Ga.; three sons, Rick L. (Paula) Marble, of Atlanta, Jeffery (Nicole) Vinson, of Spring Hill, Tenn., and Dana (Greta) Vinson, of LaFayette; one daughter, Leslie Kay Vinson, of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Nelson (Brenda) Lott, Jackson (Geraldine) Lott, of Flint, Mich. and Lee Floyd (Angela) Lots, of Hammond, Ind.; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.The funeral service will be held Monday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Dunwoody Road, LaFayette, with Pastor Rheubin Taylor officiating.The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton.
