Sr.Billy Ray Hurt Sr., 70, East Ridge, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, in a local health care facility.He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and attended the Victory Bible Class. Mr. Hurt was retired from Food Lion and had worked at Goodlet's and Pruett's Supermarkets.He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Smith Hurt; great-grandson, Christian Dakota Clay; brothers, Lawrence and Harvey Hurt; sisters, Dimple Schwartz and Dot Hicks.Survivors are sons, Billy Hurt Jr., East Ridge, Troy Shawn Hurt, Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Billy R. Hurt III, Gregory Shane Hurt, Christopher Logan Hurt, Oliver Zane Hurt, Aubry Ann Hurt and Laura Ashleigh ODell; one great-grandson, Gregory Dallas Clay.Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
