Elizabeth "Liz" Jackson Summers, of Falling Water, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012. She was 93 years old.Elizabeth was born on Montlake Mountain, and has been a lifelong resident of the Falling Water Community. She was employed with Davenport Hosiery Mill and retired from DuPont Corporation with over 27 years of service. Liz attended Falling Water Baptist Church and loved to travel with the Falling Water and Red Bank Senior Neighbors.She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Summers; two sons, Gary and Steven Summers; her parents, Lillie Mae (Thurman) Jackson and Frank Jackson; step-mother, Irene (Moody) Jackson; and two brothers, William and Thomas Jackson.Liz is survived by her son, Jerry B. Summers and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Angela LeeAnn Summers, Melissa Renee Summers, Gregory Scott Summers, her sister, Margaret R. Jackson; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. today, June 2, at the North Chapel.Services for Liz will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the North Chapel with David Smith officiating.Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.Honorary pallbearers are Diana Washington, Michelle Holcomb, Cathy Adams, Heidi Sullivan, Ashley Brown and Kristen Ritchey who provided such excellent care over the last 2 1/2 years. Your caring and devotion will never be forgotten.Memorial contributions may be made in Lizs name to Hospice of Chattanooga, P. O.
