Mary Patton Clinton, of Signal Mountain, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 16, 2012.A native of Chattanooga, she attended Girls Preparatory School, St. Marys School in Sewanee, and The University of Georgia. Mrs. Clinton was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Chattanooga.She was the daughter of the late John Evander and Anita Stephens Patton.Mrs. Clinton was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ann P. Watkins, of Sewanee, Tenn., and Janet P. Tyre, at Jacksonville, Fla.Survivors include three sons, Richard F. Clinton Jr., of Chattanooga, John E. Clinton, of Marietta, Ga., and Stephen P. Clinton, of Chattanooga; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at noon on Monday, June 25, at Wann Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hunter Huckabay presiding.The family will receive friends two hours before the service10 a.m. until noon Monday, June 25, at Wann Funeral Home.Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery immediately following the Memorial service.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to The American Heart Association or to St. Pauls Episcopal Church.Arrangements made by Wann Funeral Home, Chattanooga.
